Job Overview
The role is for a Custom Software Engineer who will develop custom software solutions, design, code, and enhance components across systems or applications using modern frameworks and agile practices. The position is part of Accenture Flex, a project‑based work arrangement that allows employees to work locally with minimal travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply deep technical knowledge to design and implement robust software components that meet project requirements.
- Support and guide colleagues by sharing expertise and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions that enhance system performance and reliability.
- Engage with stakeholders to align software development efforts with business objectives and priorities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize processes and technologies.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of work experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Apache Hadoop.
- Experience working with large data sets using big‑data solutions.
- Experienced database developer in the Hadoop platform, SQL, Hive, Spark, debugging, and performance tuning.
- Bachelor’s degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency in Apache Hive.
- Advanced proficiency in software design & solutions and software engineering.
- Advanced proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL) and Apache Spark.
Work Environment & Schedule
This role requires 5 days away per quarter as mandated by the client.
On-site work is required at the client’s office three days per week.

Hourly Salary Range by location:
- California: $50.00 to $54.00
- Cleveland: $50.00 to $54.00
- Colorado: $50.00 to $54.00
- District of Columbia: $50.00 to $54.00

- Maryland: $50.00 to $54.00
