We are seeking a skilled Big Data Hadoop Developer with extensive experience in designing, developing, and implementing large-scale data processing solutions. The ideal candidate will have a background in the Banking or Financial Services domain, with a strong understanding of industry-specific data challenges and regulatory requirements.
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Cleveland, OH is $110k – $120k/year & benefits (see below).

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize Hadoop-based data solutions for large-scale data processing and analytics.
- Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements.
- Implement data ingestion, transformation, and storage processes using Hadoop ecosystem components such as HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, Pig, Spark, and HBase.
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with industry regulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues to ensure high availability and performance.
- Document technical specifications and development processes.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in Big Data technologies and Banking/Financial services industry trends
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Strong expertise in Hadoop ecosystem components (HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, Pig, Spark, HBase).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Scala, or Python.
- Experience with data modeling and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
- Understanding of data security, encryption, and compliance standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities

- Proven experience as a Big Data Hadoop Developer in Banking or Financial Services domain.
- Knowledge of banking/financial regulations and compliance standards such as GDPR, Basel III, AML, KYC.
