Key Responsibilities
- Apply deep technical knowledge to design and implement robust software components that meet project requirements.
- Support and guide colleagues by sharing expertise and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions that enhance system performance and reliability.
- Engage with stakeholders to align software development efforts with business objectives and priorities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize processes and technologies.
- Work onsite at the client’s office three days per week; travel away at least five days per quarter.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Apache Hadoop, big data solutions, and related tools.
- Experience developing databases on Hadoop platforms (SQL, Hive, Spark), debugging and performance tuning.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency in Apache Hive.
- Strong skills in software design, solutions architecture and engineering.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Apache Spark.
