About the Role:
This position supports the PRE Big Data platform, which includes 24/7 Level 2 operations for DAP Hadoop environments. The role primarily involves managing and supporting Hadoop infrastructure, resolving both system-level and application issues, and enhancing operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide ongoing support and maintenance for Hadoop clusters.

Proactively monitor platform performance and debug system/application issues.

Automate repetitive tasks using tools like Ansible or Python.

Contribute to system stability and platform improvements.
Required Experience & Skills:

Minimum 4 years of experience as a Hadoop/Big Data Administrator.

Proficient in diagnosing and resolving Hadoop-related issues.

Hands-on with automation (Ansible, Python).

Bonus: Familiarity with HBase.
Preferred Skills:

Strong Linux/Unix administration background.

Skilled in shell scripting (bash, awk).

Experience with Hortonworks or Apache Hadoop distributions.

Python and Ansible automation knowledge is highly desirable.
