About the Role

Webologix Ltd is seeking a skilled Hadoop/Big Data Administrator to join their team. This position is responsible for supporting and managing Hadoop platforms, ensuring operational stability and troubleshooting platform and application issues. The ideal candidate will be familiar with automation using Python or Ansible and have a solid understanding of Hadoop-related technologies.

Responsibilities

Monitor and manage Hadoop platforms to ensure their smooth operation.
Troubleshoot and resolve platform and application issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
Automate manual tasks using Ansible or Python to improve system efficiency.
Debug Hadoop-related issues and optimize platform performance.
Collaborate with the team to improve the reliability and performance of Hadoop environments.
Support and maintain Hadoop configurations and related infrastructure.

Required Skills

Proficiency in Linux/Unix OS Services and Administration.
Strong knowledge of Shell and Awk scripting.
Experience with Hortonworks distribution or Apache Hadoop.
Familiarity with HBase is a plus.
Excellent debugging skills for Hadoop issues.
Ability to automate tasks using Ansible or Python.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with HBase.
Familiarity with Python and Ansible for task automation.
Prior experience working in Big Data environments, particularly Hadoop.
