Company Introduction
A leading bank is expanding its Data & Analytics capability within Retail Banking. They are hiring an important position of a Technical Delivery Manager – Data (Hadoop, Retail Banking) as part of their expansion plans. This is an opportunity to lead high-impact, enterprise-scale programmes across modern data platforms and analytics use cases, including emerging initiatives such as GenAI solutions and models.
Key responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale data warehouse, data mart, and big data programmes across Retail Banking.
- Partner closely with stakeholders across marketing, CRM, credit, and sales & servicing to translate business objectives into actionable technical solutions.
- Drive delivery of data and analytics capabilities supporting customer analytics, campaign targeting, personalization, segmentation, credit scoring, and MIS reporting.
- Oversee delivery quality including data governance, metadata management, lineage, and data quality frameworks to support compliance and audit needs.
- Manage multi-track delivery using Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies, ensuring timelines, scope, and stakeholder outcomes are met.
- Lead cross-functional teams and vendor/offshore delivery, including planning, execution governance, defect triage, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
As a successful candidate, you should have:
- Proven experience delivering data & analytics solutions within banking, with Retail Banking domain experience as a must.
- Strong delivery leadership background with demonstrated ownership of complex programmes, budgets, and vendor-heavy delivery environments.
- Solid technical foundation in Data Warehouse / Big Data platforms and tools (e.g., Hadoop/Cloudera, Spark, Kafka, Teradata, Oracle, Informatica); Hadoop experience is a must.
- Strong functional capability: able to engage users, clarify requirements, and translate needs into delivery plans and technical outcomes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Degree in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent); Agile/PMP certifications are advantageous.
