About the Role
The System and Network Engineer – Hadoop Administration (M/F) will join the NoSQL Databases team within the Systems & Networks department. This team is responsible for implementing and administering various NoSQL database systems such as MongoDB, Vertica, Hadoop, and Elasticsearch, which support thousands of employees across France and abroad.
The position involves managing Hadoop infrastructures (CDP) in a cutting-edge technological environment that adheres to ISO9001 and ISO27001 certified standards, ensuring operational excellence and continuous service improvement.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain NoSQL database infrastructures, including Hadoop, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Lead or participate in infrastructure evolution projects and the implementation of new features.
- Define and enforce standards, best practices, and production procedures.
- Provide Level 3 technical expertise to support teams, analyze incidents, and ensure high-quality operations.
- Contribute to the design and documentation of operational processes and procedures.
- Monitor and assess system performance and service quality, implementing improvements as needed.
- Stay up to date with technological developments and recommend innovative solutions to enhance infrastructure performance and security.
Required Skills
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent (Bac +5).
- Proven experience working with Hadoop infrastructure (CDP).
- Strong technical interest and enthusiasm for advanced technologies.
- Solid understanding of Linux operating systems.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in large-scale data environments.
- Familiarity with NoSQL database ecosystems beyond Hadoop.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and teamwork skills.
