About the Role
bique Systems is seeking an experienced Hadoop Admin to manage and administer multiple open-source platforms such as Hadoop, Kafka, HBase, and Spark. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, debugging, and providing solutions to major production incidents, ensuring high availability and performance across platforms. Responsibilities include planning capacity expansions, automating repetitive tasks, tuning alerting, and setting up observability to proactively address issues. Experience with Hadoop, Kafka, Hive, Spark, HDFS, Linux, PySpark, Shell/Python scripting, and DevOps tools is required.
Key Responsibilities

Administer Hadoop, Kafka, HBase, and Spark platforms.

Perform root cause analysis of major production incidents and implement effective solutions.

Automate tasks to reduce manual effort and prevent errors.

Work with Level-3 teams to enhance cluster hardening techniques.

Tune alerting systems and set up observability to track performance issues.

Develop standard operating procedures for managing and utilizing platforms.

Ensure the Hadoop platform meets performance and SLA requirements.

Perform security remediation, automation, and self-healing actions as required.

Focus on automation and reporting to minimize manual intervention.
Mandatory Skills
