About the Role

A client is looking for a Lead Big Data Engineer to collaborate with key stakeholders and apply technical expertise across various stages of the Software Development Life Cycle. This role involves requirements elicitation, defining application architecture, and delivering high-quality code for modules. The engineer will lead validation for all testing types and support activities related to implementation, transition, and warranty. The position encourages teamwork, collaboration, and rewards excellence in a diverse work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of high-level architecture for Big Data solutions.
Interface with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Design and develop ETL data pipelines and create reporting/dashboard applications.
Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data analysis.
Collaborate with offshore teams and provide guidance to database engineers.
Lead the creation and maintenance of Snowflake databases and table designs.
Ensure the implementation of high-quality, scalable solutions.

Required Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology with a focus on BI and Data Warehousing.
3+ years of experience designing end-to-end reporting and dashboarding applications.
Expertise in writing complex SQL queries and optimizing their performance.
Proven experience with Snowflake database design and development.
Basic working knowledge of Python scripting and programming.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with large volumes of data.
Ability to play a Techno-Functional role and interface with both business and technical teams.
Leadership experience in guiding offshore teams.
