About the Role

As a Senior Hadoop Developer, the candidate will lead data engineering efforts, building enterprise-scale data solutions to integrate, clean, and transform complex datasets. This role includes mentoring peers, collaborating with project teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality data pipelines and architectural consistency across systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of data integration, transformation, and quality control processes.

• Collaborate with project management to define deliverables and ensure alignment with business goals.

• Manage large, complex data sets and build scalable data pipelines supporting operational and analytical needs.

• Maintain and improve data systems, ensuring adherence to risk management and release processes.

• Analyze and improve test suites, troubleshoot issues, and support continuous delivery.

• Identify gaps in data management standards and lead efforts to close them.

• Mentor junior data engineers and promote best practices in data engineering.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience with Hadoop ecosystem including Hive, Impala, Spark, and data warehousing.

• Proficient in SQL and Unix/Linux environments.

• Experience with data gap remediation and development/testing within large-scale data projects.

• Mid to senior-level Hadoop development experience preferred.
