About the Role
The Java Developer with Hadoop/Spark will join a cutting-edge project within the financial services sector. The role involves working with the Hadoop ecosystem, including the Cloudera distribution, and utilizing Spark for job development and optimization. This is a hybrid position located in Porto, offering a great opportunity to contribute to innovative technological solutions while advancing your career in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Hadoop ecosystem, including Cloudera (HDFS, HIVE, HBASE, YARN, TEZ, RANGER, etc.).
- Develop Spark jobs and analyze logs to identify and resolve bugs, optimize processing, and perform DAG analysis.
- Write and optimize Java code, ensuring efficiency and high performance.
- Work with SQL and optimize queries to improve data processing.
- Utilize Python and Scala for various data-related tasks.
- Collaborate with the DevOps team using tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Sonar for continuous integration and deployment.
- Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of systems, following Agile methodologies.
- Provide troubleshooting and optimization support for Hadoop and Spark platforms.
Required Skills
- Hadoop ecosystem experience, especially with Cloudera (HDFS, HIVE, HBASE, YARN, TEZ, RANGER).
- Proficiency in Java, SQL, and Spark (job development, log analysis, bug hunting).
- Experience with Python and Scala.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities.
- DevOps familiarity with tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket, Sonar, and XLDeploy.
- Good communication skills in English; proficiency in French is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAS or WPS.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
